After all the hard work putting together the patronal festival, we all enjoyed a relaxed barbeque at the rectory to celebrate the tremendous success (and start plotting for next year!)
Great fun was had as a group of children joined Hale Holiday Club, to learn about Paul’s missionary journeys. A replica boat was created, to help our understanding, along with many passengers. Adam organised a great selection of games in the field, fun was had with water (ahead of the ice bucket craze!), as well as games with a parachute. The two days were rounded off with a splendid tea party.
A beautiful sunny day on 20 July, 2014, set the scene for the wonderful picnic praise service at Woodgreen. Many musicians came together to form the wonderful band. Rev Nicky Davies was formally welcomed into the benefice at this service, and we heard all about her recent trip to Kinkiizi.
This year’s festival took place between 4-8 July 2014. The 1914 town of Fordwick came to life inside our church. You could sit on the village green, buy sweets from the shop and enjoy live music.
