Judith Dowsett

Churchwarden - Fordingbridge

Judith and her husband John came to Fordingbridge in 2009 from Berkshire.
They have two grown up married children; a son near Wallingford, Oxfordshire and a daughter near Sydney, Australia, so Skype gets used quite a bit! There are four grandchildren, Susanna, Liam and Louise and the youngest being Rose, born spring 2015. Judith is a retired primary school headteacher, but started out as an analytical chemist way back in the 70’s. Somehow volunteering at the children’s school in the 1980s led to getting qualified as a teacher.

Judith and John sing with the St Mary’s Church Choir and are part of the team which founded the Fordingbridge U3A.
Judith enjoys a range of activities and likes to get out into the garden or walking in the forest as much as possible.
