I am delighted to be the Assistant Curate of the Avon Valley Churches benefice. It was lovely to return to Fordingbridge having worshipped at the 8am service whilst exploring my calling to ordained ministry. I previously worked as a primary school teacher, and as a family we were involved with the St Swithun’s church plant in Bournemouth.
After moving to Oxford for ministerial training, Heidi and I particularly enjoyed cycling along the canal network with our children – Sam and Phoebe, which has proven to be a newfound family hobby. The Trotman family are also Pug lovers, and have two little treasures called Dibley and Pippa.
Being a Curate is an amazing privilege and unique opportunity to integrate ministerial training with everyday experiences by putting into practice what I am learning in lectures as part of the Winchester diocese school of mission. I look forward to seeking my first incumbency, hopefully in a similar multi-parish rural setting…
